Start listening to the first sentence.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"2\">\r\n<li><strong><em>Limit your own talking<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>One can\u2019t talk and listen at the same time.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"3\">\r\n<li><strong><em>Think like the customers<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>His problems and needs are important and you\u2019ll understand them better if you keep the customer\u2019s point of view in mind.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"4\">\r\n<li><strong><em>Ask questions<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>When you don\u2019t understand or feel you might have missed a point, clear it up before it embarrasses you later.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"5\">\r\n<li><strong><em>Don\u2019t interrupt<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Conquer the temptation to interrupt.\u00a0 A pause&#8230;even a long pause doesn\u2019t always mean the customer has finished saying everything he wants to say.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"6\">\r\n<li><strong><em>Concentrate<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Focus your mind on what he\u2019s saying.\u00a0 Practice shutting outside distractions.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"7\">\r\n<li><strong><em>Take notes<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>This will help you to remember important points.\u00a0 But be selective.
