When the data is inconsistent \u2014 a different phone number on JustDial than on your website, an old address still showing on Sulekha \u2014 Google&#8217;s confidence in your data drops, and local rankings suffer.<\/p>\n<p>NAP inconsistencies are very common among Bangalore businesses, for predictable reasons. Businesses move premises but do not update all their listings. Phone numbers change. The business name gets abbreviated differently on different platforms. Listings were created years ago by different people and never cross-checked against each other. A complete Practo profile functions as both a citation and a booking platform \u2014 making it doubly important for businesses in that category.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Zomato and Swiggy<\/strong> are non-negotiable for restaurants, cafes, and food businesses in Bangalore. These are not traditional directories, but their prominence in local food search means they function as high-authority citations for food and beverage businesses specifically.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Facebook Business Page<\/strong> with a complete address, phone number, and business category contributes to Google&#8217;s understanding of a business&#8217;s NAP data, particularly for consumer businesses with active social presences.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How_to_Audit_Your_Existing_Citations\"><\/span>How to Audit Your Existing Citations<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>A citation audit starts with establishing a reference version of your NAP \u2014 the exact business name, full address including pin code, and phone number exactly as they appear on your website&#8217;s contact page. A listing on a low-quality, spammy directory contributes nothing positive and can introduce inconsistencies if those directories pull and republish data inaccurately.
