What a Google Business Profile does for a Bangalore business

When someone searches “dentist near me”, “car service in Indiranagar” or “CA in Malleshwaram”, Google often shows a map with a short list of businesses before the ordinary web results. Those listings come from Business Profiles. For many local businesses the profile is the first thing a customer sees, and sometimes the only thing, before they call or tap for directions.

Google says local results are based mainly on relevance, distance and prominence. You cannot move your shop, but you control much of the rest: how clearly your profile says what you do, how complete it is, and how well-regarded you look through reviews and mentions. That is the work this page describes.

What we do on your profile

Set-up, claiming and verification

We claim a profile that already exists for your business, or create a new one, and take it through verification. Google may ask for a video of your premises, signage and proof that you operate there, so we tell you in advance what to film. If someone else, such as a former agency or an old employee, owns the profile, we help you request ownership back.

Name, categories and services

Your business name must match the name customers see on your signboard and invoices. Adding keywords or a locality to the name is a guideline violation and a common reason profiles are suspended. We choose the most specific primary category, add secondary categories that truly apply, and list every service or product with a plain description and, where you can share one, a price.

Address, service areas and hours

If customers come to you, the address must be a place where staff are present during the hours you list. A virtual office or a shared desk address is a risk. If you go to customers, such as a plumber or an interior designer, we set service areas and hide the address. We also set special hours for Diwali, Ugadi, Eid, Christmas and local holidays, because wrong hours are one of the most common complaints in reviews.

Photos and videos of the real business

We brief you on what to shoot on a phone: the entrance and signboard, the inside, your team at work, finished jobs, and the menu or price board where relevant. Real photos help a customer decide. Stock images do not, and they can make a profile look careless.

Reviews: asking, replying and handling unfair ones

We set up your review link and a QR code, write the WhatsApp message and counter card for your staff, and draft replies for you to approve. For reviews that break Google’s policy, such as spam, abuse or a competitor posting, we flag them through Google’s tools and keep a record. Our step-by-step guide to doing this within Google’s rules is in how to get more Google reviews in India.

Updates, offers and questions

We post updates about new services, events and offers, keep an eye on questions customers ask on your profile and answer them, and remove or merge duplicate listings so one business shows one profile.

The page your profile links to

Your profile’s website button should open the page that matches what the customer searched for, usually a service page and not the homepage. We check that this page loads fast on a phone, shows the same name, address and phone number as the profile, and answers the customer’s question quickly. This is where profile management meets local SEO.

How the first 30 days work

  • Week 1: audit of your profile, duplicates, categories, address, hours and the page it links to. You get a written list of what we found and what we will change.
  • Week 2: fixes made, verification completed if pending, photo and video brief sent to you.
  • Week 3: services and products added, review link, QR code and WhatsApp message ready, replies drafted for existing reviews.
  • Week 4: first update posted, first report sent with calls, direction requests and website clicks from your profile, and the plan for month two.

After the first month, the work becomes a monthly routine: photos, updates, replies, review requests, a check for changes made by others, and a report.

Single location, several branches, or service area

Single location. One verified profile with its own address, phone number, category and photos. This is the standard case for a clinic, a coaching centre or a restaurant.

Several branches. Each branch that serves customers in person needs its own profile, with its own phone number, hours and photos, and a matching location page on your website. We keep the names consistent and make sure each branch’s page has real detail about that branch and not a copied template. See our guide to local citation building for Bangalore businesses for keeping branch details identical across directories.

Service-area business. If you travel to customers, we set the areas you really cover, and keep your home address private if it is a residence. We add pages on your website for the areas where you have done work.

What we do not do

  • We do not write, buy or exchange reviews, and we do not ask your staff or relatives to post them. Google’s content policy prohibits fake engagement and offering incentives for reviews.
  • We do not add keywords or localities to your business name.
  • We do not create profiles for addresses where you have no staff, or for a virtual office.
  • We do not promise a top-three map position. Google says no one can promise a ranking.
  • We do not keep control of your profile. You remain the primary owner, and we are added as a manager.

What it costs

Google Business Profile management is part of our Local SEO package: ₹15,000 to ₹25,000 a month plus GST as applicable, for a single-location business. It also covers local keyword targeting by area, on-page SEO for up to 15 pages, a technical audit with fixes, local citation building and monthly reports. Growth SEO, for crowded categories or several branches, is ₹25,000 to ₹50,000 a month. There is no long-term lock-in. The full rate card is on our SEO pricing page. If you want only a one-time clean-up, say so when you request the audit and we will tell you in writing whether that makes sense for your business.

How you will know it is working

Each month you receive the numbers Google gives for your profile: how many people called, asked for directions or clicked to your website, and which searches showed your listing. We add your map position for the searches that matter, enquiries counted by source, and a short note on what we changed and what we will do next. If calls rise but enquiries do not turn into sales, we say so, because that points to a problem outside the profile.

Who this is for

  • Clinics, dental practices, diagnostic centres and physiotherapists
  • Coaching centres, tuition classes and skill institutes
  • Restaurants, cafes, bakeries and PG accommodations
  • Interior designers, architects, contractors and home-service businesses
  • CA, legal and consulting firms
  • Showrooms, salons, gyms and repair centres

Showing up in AI answers

Assistants such as Gemini and ChatGPT draw on public information about a business, and your Google Business Profile is one of the clearest sources of it: name, address, hours, services and what customers say in reviews. Keeping it accurate and consistent with your website helps every system that reads it. Nobody can promise a citation in an AI answer. If you want a plan that covers it, see our AI SEO services in Bangalore.

Questions we are asked

What does Google Business Profile management include?

We set up or claim the profile, choose the right categories, add services and products, set hours including holidays, upload real photos, reply to reviews, post updates, remove duplicates, and report calls, direction requests and website clicks every month. You stay the owner of the profile throughout.

How much does Google Business Profile management cost in Bangalore?

Profile management is part of our Local SEO package, Rs 15,000 to Rs 25,000 a month plus GST as applicable, for a single-location business. Businesses with several branches move to Growth SEO at Rs 25,000 to Rs 50,000. The audit is free, and you get the scope in writing before you pay.

Can you get my business into the top three on Google Maps?

No agency can promise that. Google says local results depend on relevance, distance and prominence, and distance is outside anyone's control. We fix what you can change: categories, services, photos, reviews and the page your profile links to. We then report your real map position every month.

My Google Business Profile was suspended. Can you help?

Often, yes. We check what Google is likely to have flagged, such as a keyword-stuffed name, a virtual office address or a missing verification, correct it, and prepare your reinstatement request with evidence. Google decides the outcome, so we cannot promise it, and we will tell you plainly if the cause is not fixable.

Will you write or buy Google reviews for us?

No. Google's policy bans fake engagement, including paid reviews and reviews offered in exchange for discounts or gifts, and it can remove reviews or restrict profiles. We help you ask real customers, reply to every review, and handle unfair reviews through Google's reporting tools.

Do I need a website if I manage my Google Business Profile well?

A well-run profile can bring calls within weeks, but it is a listing Google controls. A website gives you a page for each service and area, proof of your work and answers to customer questions. Google also uses your site to judge relevance, so the two work best together.
